Refund & cancellation policy
Free trial
Every new company starts with a 30-day free trial. No payment method is required to begin. If you do not subscribe before the trial ends, your account is paused — your data is retained for 90 days in case you decide to come back.
Refunds
If you are charged for a monthly subscription and contact us within 14 days of that first charge, we will issue a full refund, no questions asked. After 14 days, refunds for the current month are issued at our discretion on a case-by-case basis.
Cancellation
You can cancel at any time from the in-app billing screen or by emailing support. When you cancel, your subscription stays active through the end of your current billing period and is not renewed. We never auto-renew without notice.
Service interruption
If the service is unavailable for an extended period due to our fault, we will credit your account on a pro-rata basis.
Terms of service
Acceptance
By creating an account or using Match The Books (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Accounts
You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. The Service is intended for business use by bars, restaurants, retail stores, and similar establishments.
Acceptable use
You will not (a) attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract the source code of the Service; (b) use the Service to violate any applicable law; (c) interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service; or (d) attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems.
Subscriptions and billing
Subscriptions are billed monthly at the rates displayed on this site at time of purchase ($5 per location per month plus $2.50 per extra register at each location). Charges automatically adjust when you add or remove locations or registers. Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you authorize us to charge your payment method for the applicable subscription fee.
Customer data
You retain ownership of all data you submit to the Service. You grant us a limited license to host and process that data solely to provide the Service to you. You can export or request deletion of your data at any time by contacting support.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the reconciliation calculations will always match third-party POS data exactly. You remain responsible for verifying your own books.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for material breach of these Terms. You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect.

Privacy policy
What we collect
We collect (a) account information you provide such as company name, owner name, email, and password (stored as a hash); (b) operational data you enter into the app such as shifts, cash counts, paid-outs, receipt photos, locations, registers, and team members; (c) billing information processed by Stripe — we do not store full card numbers; and (d) basic technical data such as IP address and device type for security and diagnostics.
How we use it
We use this information solely to operate the Service: to authenticate you, store and display your reconciliation data, send shift and variance notifications you configure, process subscription payments, and respond to support requests. We do not sell your data and we do not use it to train machine-learning models.
Service providers
We use Stripe for payment processing, and may use email (SMTP) and SMS (carrier email-to-SMS) providers to deliver notifications you configure. These providers process the minimum data required to perform their function.
Data retention
We retain account and operational data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel, we retain data for 90 days to support reactivation, then delete it. You can request earlier deletion at any time.
Security
We store data on managed cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit. Passwords are stored as salted bcrypt hashes. Access to production data is limited to authorized personnel.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time by contacting hadavand1979@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, additional rights may apply (for example under GDPR or CCPA).
Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.

We will post updates to this policy on this page and update the "last updated" date above.
